PUPPPS in Pregnancy

Some of us suffer from PUPPPS in pregnancy which is downright frustrating!

The letters PUPPP stand for pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy. In simpler terms, PUPPP rash is a patch of itchy, hive-like bumps that form in the stretch marks on your belly and spread to other parts of your body when you're pregnant. PUPPP is a pain, but it's harmless to both you and your baby.-Cleveland Clinic

Leave it to the Witches, I mean Midwives and Herbalist to use some earth magic.

What can you do to help relieve the itch? Since sometimes coconut oil can be drying, I have found in my herbal studies that these may be more beneficial.

(those listed below are meant for topical)

Calendula and Plantain are great at healing the skin. St. John's Wort is soothing towards the nerves. Those plus Licorice root made as a strong tea and placed on the itchy spots can provide much relief. Happy healing!
